Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart predictions
Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are almost guaranteed to finish in the top two of the Bundesliga, but there is plenty of fluidity and intrigue below that duo.
Third-placed Mainz and 10th-placed Stuttgart are separated by eight points with eight gameweeks remaining. With European qualification likely to go down to seventh spot, you could argue that everyone down to Borussia Dortmund in 11th are in the mix for continental qualification.
Eintracht Frankfurt are targeting a Champions League berth. Currently fourth in the standings, they hold a three-point advantage over RB Leipzig in the place below them. Frankfurt are also level on points with Mainz in third.
Frankfurt finished sixth last time out, but they never really got close to the top five. They finished the campaign with 47 points; after 26 rounds of fixtures this season, Frankfurt have amassed 45. That is a clear sign of progress.
Dino Toppmoller’s team have lost three of their last four matches, although two of those defeats were at the hands of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. The bookies have them down as favourites to finish third behind that pair.
Frankfurt are also going strong in the Europa League. They advanced to the quarter-finals by eliminating Ajax 6-2 on aggregate. Tottenham Hotspur are up next - and Ange Postecoglou’s side will be in for a tough two legs.
Stuttgart will struggle to make the Champions League from here, but Europa League or Conference League football in 2025/26 is still a possibility.
Sebastian Hoeness’ side sprung a major surprise last term as they finished second, bumping Bayern Munich down to third.
It was always going to be near-impossible for Stuttgart to replicate that achievement. After all, the season before they only just avoided relegation to the second tier. They also bade farewell to some key players last summer, notably erstwhile top scorer Serhou Guirassy.
Qualifying for either the Europa League or Conference League would represent success this term, but Stuttgart have lost ground in recent weeks.
A thrilling but frustrating 4-3 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen immediately prior to the international break means Stuttgart have won just one of their last eight league encounters, a sequence that has knocked them out of the top half of the table.
Can Stuttgart get back on track this weekend, or will Eintracht Frankfurt march on in front of their own supporters?
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart betting tips
Who will come out on top when Eintracht Frankfurt meet Stuttgart in the Bundesliga?
Eintracht Frankfurt to win
Eintracht Frankfurt lost Omar Marmoush to Manchester City in the winter window. The departure of their top scorer could easily have derailed Frankfurt’s season.
At first glance it certainly appears to have had an adverse effect, with Toppmoller’s men having won just two of their eight Bundesliga games since the transfer was confirmed.
However, they have been going strong in the Europa League and have scored 10 times in their last four outings.

Frankfurt will hope that their aforementioned triumph over Bochum sparks a winning run. Each of their next four matches are against teams currently outside the top eight, so this is a good chance for them to open up a lead over the sides below them.
Stuttgart are going through a tough patch and they will find it difficult to avoid defeat at Deutsche Bank Park.
⚽ Tip Eintracht Frankfurt to win at 5/4 with BetMGM ⚽
Both teams to score second half
There is reason to believe this will be an entertaining encounter. Outside of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, no one has scored more goals than Eintracht Frankfurt this term.
According to the expected goals data, Frankfurt have actually outperformed Leverkusen for creating chances. Meanwhile Stuttgart rank fifth for goals scored and fourth for xG.
Neither team will sit back and accept defeat if they find themselves behind in the match. If one side is trailing, they will throw everything at it in the second half.
The data bears that out for Stuttgart. Only Bayern and Wolfsburg have scored more goals between minutes 46 and 90.
At the same time, Stuttgart have conceded in each of their last eight second halves. Frankfurt can make that nine.
⚽ Back both teams to score in the second half at 13/8 with Betfred ⚽
Michy Batshuayi to score any time
Eintracht Frankfurt signed Michy Batshuayi from Fenerbahce on transfer deadline day in a bid to replace some of Marmoush’s goals.
The Belgian has scored in his last two appearances, making the net ripple against Union Berlin and Bochum.
Batshuayi has had an itinerant career and it is fair to say he has not really fulfilled his early potential.
The striker had a good scoring record in Turkey, though, and his confidence will have been boosted by those strikes against Union and Bochum.
Batshuayi can make it three goals for Frankfurt this weekend.
