Hull City and Swansea City interested in loan deal for Premier League midfielder

According to a report from Football Insider – as cited by Sky Sports News transfer centre (16/10, 09:07) – Liverpool could look to loan out young midfielder Herbie Kane in the January transfer window, with Championship pair Hull City and Swansea City among those interested.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, Liverpool’s young midfielder Herbie Kane was heavily linked with a loan move away from Anfield. A number of Championship clubs were said keen on bringing the youngster in on loan after he enjoyed a thoroughly successful stint with League One side Doncaster Rovers last season.

League One sides were also said keen on Kane but in the end, a loan move away failed to materialise and since, he has found that his game time has been coming with Liverpool’s Under-23s side. Now, it has been claimed that he could make a loan move away in January.

Hull City and Swansea City are said keen on bringing Kane in on loan, while Scottish Premiership side Rangers – managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard – are also interested in the possibility of bringing him in on loan.

Last season was Kane’s first season of senior football, but his performances made him a fixture in Grant McCann’s side. He played in 49 games for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists in the process.

Prior to his loan spell with Doncaster, Kane had spent his time playing for the youth sides at Liverpool, playing for the Under-23s and Under-18s as well as representing the club in the UEFA Youth Cup.
