Middlesbrough fans are going through an era of change at present with Jonathan Woodgate taking the reigns at the Riverside.
The new instalment of FIFA 20 hits shelves at the end of this month, and Middlesbrough fans will be eager to see if last seasons disappointment in not achieving a top six finish has affect their squad’s rating on the new video game.
Here are Middlesbrough’s top five highest rated players on FIFA 20:
1. Darren Randolph – GK – Rating: 75
Despite achieving a league-high number of clean sheets in the division, Randolph was the only Middlesbrough player in the EFL Championship Team of the Season last campaign. He has been rewarded with an upgrade from silver to gold.
2. Dani Ayala – CB – Rating: 74
Boro’s second highest rated player is Dani Ayala. The centre-back is one of the best in the division on his day, but an upgrade of +1 seems strange given his hit and miss performances last season.
3. Jonny Howson – CM – Rating: 73
Although he hasn’t set the world alight since signing for the Teessiders, Howson is a player that gives his all every Saturday, and has maintained his 73 rating for the second year running.
4. George Saville – CM- Rating: 72
George Saville had an up and down campaign with Boro last season, but he did add vital goals from midfield which were few and far between the previous season.
5. Adam Clayton – CDM – Rating: 72
Clayton not only shares a rating with George Saville, but also rates the same as defender Ryan Shotton and Britt Assombalonga. Clayton edges out Shotton and Assombalonga on overall stats, and although underrated in the Boro team at present, he still ranks within the top five for the club on this years FIFA.
